Venture Café Fukuoka “Thursday Gathering”At the 45th Thursday Gathering, BeCAT gave a presentation on the theme of "Social Experiments Co-created by Universities and Companies."
Shaping a sustainable future by going back and forth between education and practice. It was an evening that brought the "collaborative design" of that purpose, with a real-world feel. The event was hosted by BeCAT Brand Manager Emiko Sars, and in addition to BeCAT's Suehiro, Kira, Suemitsu, and Momoe, guestsLANDICPresident and CEO Tomoyuki Nakayama took the stage.
How can we combine the strengths of each party, test them out in society, and develop them? The discussion delved into concrete measures to ensure that "co-creation" does not end as a slogan.
Students also participated in the event, presenting their own initiatives to the audience. It was impressive to see them asking questions, sparking dialogue, and creating the next connection in their own words. Models and materials from past projects were also on display, which led to a natural exchange of opinions with the audience, and ideas were updated every time perspectives intersected. BeCAT demonstrated the potential of an experimental and practical platform that moves society forward by bringing universities and companies together to try things out.
