Kyushu University's BeCAT has received the "Architectural Institute of Japan Education Award (Contribution to Education)."
This award is sponsored by the Architectural Institute of Japan and recognizes outstanding achievements that have contributed to the development of architectural education. This time, BeCAT"Collaborative Education on Social Implementation Projects at BeCAT, a Research and Education Center for Environmental Issues, Kyushu University"It was evaluated positively.

At BeCAT, we have been building and continuously developing a new framework for architectural education that seamlessly connects research, education, and social implementation. A key feature of our approach is that, beyond design studios and lectures, we place projects in collaboration with local communities, companies, and municipalities at the core of our education, allowing students to proactively experience the entire process from resource surveys and material development to construction, operation, and fundraising.

This educational activity, based on a focus on sustainability and social responsibility, is pioneering new possibilities for architectural education at the forefront of the university and society, and has made a significant contribution to the development of architectural education. This recognition has led to this award.

We are extremely pleased to receive such a prestigious award at this milestone of our fifth anniversary since establishment.
